Student Award/ Elsevier Award
IUVSTA-Elsevier Student Awards: The IUVSTA-Elsevier Student Awards are designed to give partial financial support to Ph.D. or Master students (within seven years of obtaining their bachelor’s degree at the start of the congress) to help them attend IUVSTA meetings and conferences at which they are presenting a paper.
The amount of the IUVSTA-Elsevier Award is 400 EUR on an individual basis.

Welch Award
The M.W. Welch International Scholarship was established in 1965 to support younger scientists working abroad in vacuum science and technology. The scholarship was made possible by support from M.W. Welch, and the Welch family continues to provide funds annually. The first scholar was chosen in 1968, and scholars have been identified each year since then. The scholarship amounts to $15,000 per year.
